As always I am amazed that we are officially in Spring and even more amazed that my 'baby' is now 2. I had heard so many "terrible two" stories that I was a bit concerned, but I have to say I'm loving this age. Yes, she is a bit more opinionated but she is also so much fun. I love watching her figure things out and having an opinion on what she likes and dislikes. The downside is that she really seems to have developed an opinion on food. Where before she would try anything, now she'll smell it and know instantly if she'll eat it. Also, what she likes can vary from one day to the next. The constant is fruit! The girl loves her grapes and strawberries.

As a mom of a toddler I now understand why moms say their exercise is chasing their toddler! She is constantly on the move and loves to explore. She also loves animals and learning their names and sounds. After we took her to Disney for the Princess & Pirates party she was fascinated with ducks and walked around the house making the duck sound. It was the funniest thing ever because it wasn't the usual "quack, quack" but the actual sound that they make. Too cute.

My biggest dilemma right now is this whole potty training thing. I know that she isn't ready yet, but how do you know when they are? How do you potty train? Very confusing for me. I would love to hear any suggestions that you have. Thank you!! Have a wonderful Spring and enjoy the time with your family.

  Little about me...I'm married and the mother of a beautiful little girl, Aleksandra. She is the absolute joy of my life. We have two dogs that I just tolerate...just kidding, but they are pains! Although I've been in Florida for several years and survived the hurricanes, I'm originally an Indiana native...Hoosier as we like to say. I did move around a lot and before Florida spent 7 wonderful years in Denver, CO.

  In Denver I was on the radio and TV before joining K92FM in the summer of '02. Did I mention that I'm a diehard Broncos fan!(Number 7 is John Elway, the best quarterback to ever live!) What else... I'm 30something, a new mom and a step-mom, a Ball State University graduate and Kappa Alpha Theta alum. I am a Christian, natural home body and love spending time at home with family and friends.
