Doc gets peeped at in a dressing room!
This may be his paranoia, but he swears it's true...So he picks out a few pairs he likes and has to go try them on...and to his surprise he sees a sign that says "You are being watched" as he was in the stall!!! Well Doc freaked out and thought they were looking at him through a two way mirror.
Have you ever been in the same situation or felt like you were being watched in the dressing room?
In order to make sure people don't shoplift stores have to have security measures...so here's what the law says they have to do...
1) use same-sex personnel to monitor their customers (women monitor the women's dressing rooms and men monitor men's dressing rooms); and,
2) the security systems need to be 'tapeless', meaning that the person watching through the camera can see what's going on, but can not keep a tape of what they're viewing.
What others are saying
- Cameras in Dressng RoomsI do understand the issue of shoplifting. Isnât that why they give you the little door hanger with the number of items that you are taking in with you? Although Iâm sure that the workers are not paying much attention and counting them when you come out. It is not uncommon to see empty hangers or packages in the dressing rooms. I have also seen the crotch âprotectorsâ from bathing suites on the floor or stuck to the wall and wonder if someone had walked out of there with it under their clothes.
I donât believe that men have as much to worry about. They donât usually have an occasion to become totally naked. As a woman, I am totally offended by having cameras in the dressing room. If I am shopping for a blouse, I sometimes go to the dressing room and try them on. BUT, Do you think that Iâm going to try on bras and bathing suites with someone watching me? I have heard about the âpeepersâ and cameras in dressing rooms. Thatâs why it gives me the creeps to go in them. I also think thatâs why there are so many returns to stores. You buy the clothes without trying them on and if they donât fit or you donât like the way they look, you return them. Itâs a pain and takes up a lot of your time. I hate shopping for clothes! - Camera SignsDid you ever think that maybe the sign is a attempt at deterrance to prevent/stop THEFT!! It is illegal to have cameras in the fitting rooms. 99.9% of the world knows that (apparently members of this show are the .1%) Stores have to do whatever they legally can to prevent theft and protect themselves from loss. Do you think if I came into your home (in this case store) and wanted to help myself to whatever, you would do whatever you possilby could to stop that theft??? Geez.. Take a second and think before running off at the mouth about something you know NOTHING about
- Dressing RoomI've always been afraid of that happening and I've been to the oviedomarketplace to make it worse. I've seen signs in the womens dressing room a while ago, but I've not been there recently. It's a total invasion of privacy and IT'S TOTALLY CREEPY!!
- Dressing RoomDon't know that i have ever been a victim, but I can tell you. If I knew about such a practice I would never shop at that store!! Also, I would pass the word as much as possible.
