Topic: Swine flu scare keeps kids from school...Doc's got an issue with testing in clinics

Seems as though the swine flu isn't going away, but why are half of the student body not showing up to school?

Nearly half the student population at Lake Hills School in Howey in the Hills was out sick Wednesday. Eyewitness News talked to a local pediatrician who has seen more than one dozen patients in the last two weeks who likely have the virus.

Doc is really pissed off about the fact that some clinics offer the swine flu test and some don't! He hasn't been able to get of anyone yet to give him a solid answer as to why...If you know why please leave us a comment!

I just have to say my husband and I were both sick last week and went to a hospital and had to fight the doc to get tested for the swine flu finally did get tested and she said we would get the results by fri. this was wed. we never heard anything so we asumed no news was good news we did not have it. My daughters birthday party was on Sat. so we were around kids and other people. Mon. I took my other daughter to the doc. becuase she had a fever. I decided to call the doc. my husband went to and come to find out his test was positive and they did not call us!!!
They ended up calling my husband after I had already taken my daughter to the doc. Not to mention she would not give my husband any medication because she said it was only for the elderly, or high risk.

Swine Flu
I have just had 3 of my grandchildren down with the swine flu for 5 days. We had to treat it like a regular flu with lots of liquids and motrin. They did not have the throwing up and the diareah. They just had the fevers over 103 and aches.
You know when two five year olds and an eight year old lay in bed for three days without doing anything they are sick.....
All is well now and they are back in school. YEAH!!!!!
