Dierks Bentley has an interesting way to look at success. He says if he can ever say he's made it, it will take the fire out of his music and his career. Bentley tells the "Press & Sun Bulletin" newspaper that success to him is measured in firsts, quote, "the first time you make any money in the tip jar; the first time you play the Grand Ole Opry; the first time you go on the road with a major act like George Strait or Kenny Chesney." Dierks says that he believes once he can say he's made it, he will begin to just go through the motions of his career, and he doesn't want that to happen. Bentley adds that having the opportunity to play music every night is the biggest reward of all.
