Chesney's Foot Still Hurtin'
Kenny Chesney Says Foot Is Better But Still Black And Blue
Kenny Chesney says when he hurt his foot just a week ago at his Columbia, South Carolina concert, it looked like it had a baseball on it. The singer tells "CMT Insider" that it's much better now, but is still black and blue. He was injured when a lift he was riding onto the stage of his first stadium show jolted and his foot got caught between the lift and the stage. Because of the noise in the stadium, his stage crew didn't know what had happened, and Kenny's foot was trapped for almost 40 seconds before he could free it. He explained that he knew he was in trouble, but, quote, "then I realized I was doing this in front of 45-thousand people." Chesney admits he was scared during the show because he could feel his foot swelling and he didn't know the extent of the injury. But Chesney hasn't missed any shows because of the incident. He continues his tour Thursday in Charleston, West Virginia, and on Saturday he plays M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, Maryland. advertisement
