Joe Don Rooney of Rascal Flatts went back to his hometown of Picher, Oklahoma this week to help victims of the tornadoes that ripped through the town of less than one thousand residents on Sunday. While his family no longer lives there, Rooney was friends with one of the families who lost loved ones in the devastation. The tornado leveled a 20-square block area, injured more than 100 people and left many folks homeless. Rooney is appealing to the public to donate to the American Red Cross' Tulsa Chapter at 918-831-1225 so the organization can further assist the victims. Members of Rascal Flatts have been celebrity spokespersons for the Red Cross for several years.
