John Rich Protesting On Tax Day
The federal income tax deadline will have plenty of Americans lining up at the post office on Wednesday, but Georgians who are not caught up in last-minute number crunching can join John Rich at a timely Atlanta Tea Party to register their anger about taxes. John is teaming with several radio personalities and a Libertarian political candidate, according to the Georgian news site theweekly.com, for a 7 p.m. demonstration at the state capitol to protest bailouts, deficit spending and the tax code. Its a good bet that John will pull out his guitar and sing "Shuttin Detroit Down," his current hit about Americas recession and economic disparities.
John is protesting, but he isnt giving up yet on the red, white and blue.
"We will persevere," he told Fox News. "We will get through it. Everybody's going to pull together and keep working hard, and youre going to look up one of these days and the clouds are going to break. It's gonna be sunny again. But right now every American has to be vigilant. You need to read the news, you need to listen to your friends and neighbors, you need to talk about what's going on and nobody needs to BS anybody."
After the tax deadline, John has more on his plate. Hell be featured Thursday in the GAC special Behind The Video: John Rich at 10 p.m. ET. Hes set to play Nashvilles LP Field June 14 during the CMA Music Festival with Montgomery Gentry, Miranda Lambert and Taylor Swift. And hell go out with Big Kenny for a summer run of Big & Rich dates. From GACTV.com
