Kenny Chesney Signs On For Two 2010 Festivals

Kenny Chesney might not be touring next year, but that doesn't mean he won't be performing. The singer has signed on to appear at two festivals next year. He'll be taking part in the Bama Jam & Arts Festival in Enterprise, Alabama, and the Bayou Country Superfest in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. New Orleans' "Times-Picayune" newspaper notes that Brooks & Dunn, Taylor Swift, and Keith Urban are also on board for the Baton Rouge festival, taking place at Louisiana State University's Tiger Stadium on May 29th and 30th. Meanwhile, Jake Owen is also on board for Bama Jam, which is set for June 3rd through the 5th.
Chesney notes that while he isn't going on tour next year, he doesn't want to stay away from the stage. The singer says, quote, "I can't imagine a year not rocking the fans...not seeing those faces or hearing my songs sung back to me." He explains, quote, "That is where I'm the most alive, and those people are such a big part of who I am and why I do this. To me, not being out there would be the worst thing I could imagine."
