Kenny Chesney will be sharing the spotlight at the 43rd annual Country Music Association Awards. The singer is on board to participate in the event. He's slated to team up with Dave Matthews to perform their collaborative hit, "I'm Alive," during the ceremony. The occasion will mark Matthews CMA debut. In addition to the Chesney-Matthews pairing, the CMAs will feature a collaboration between Vince Gill and the rock band Daughtry. Tim McGraw, Reba McEntire, Sugarland, Taylor Swift, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, and George Strait are just some of the many other artists scheduled to sing.

Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, who will be hosting the ceremony for a second consecutive year, are also expected to perform. The 43rd annual CMA Awards will be presented in a ceremony at Nashville's Sommet Center, and air on ABC on November 11th.

Chesney is entering the event with three nominations, including a bid for Entertainer of the Year. If he takes the category he'll become the only five-time winner of the CMA's top prize, as well as the only artist to earn the title four years in a row. Chesney is also in the running for Male Vocalist of the Year and Musical Event of the Year for "Down the Road," his 2008 duet with Mac McAnally.
