Blake Shelton Teams Up With Trace Adkins For Song

Blake Shelton says he and his pal Trace Adkins "are pretty much both 'Hillbilly' to the core." So, Shelton's new single, "Hillbilly Bone," which features Adkins, made sense to them. "I knew it was one of those songs that would kick the door down, and who better to kick the door down with me than my buddy Trace," says the singer. "It's one of those songs you can't get out of your head, and for Trace and I both, it was one of those songs that made sense, since we are pretty much both 'Hillbilly' to the core."
'Hillbilly Bone' is the first single from Blake's forthcoming CD, which will be released next year. Fans who attend the upcoming Shine All Night tour featuring Martina McBride and Trace could be treated to a live performance of the tune, as Blake will be a special guest on select dates.
