Swift Leads AMA Hopefuls; Rascal Flatts, Zac Brown Band Multiple Country Nominees

Taylor Swift continues to rake in the accolades for her work. The singer is the top nominee for the upcoming American Music Awards. She's in the running in six categories, including the top prize of Artist of the Year. She's also up for Favorite Female Artist in both the Country and Pop/Rock categories as well as Favorite Adult Contemporary Artist, and her CD "Fearless" has a bid for Favorite Album in both Country and Pop/Rock.
Rascal Flatts and the Zac Brown Band are each two-time Country nominees. They're both up for Favorite Band, Duo, or Group, along with Sugarland, while Rascal Flatts' "Unstoppable" and the Zac Brown Band's "Foundation" are facing off against Swift's "Fearless" for Favorite Album. Swift's competition for Country - Favorite Female Artist is Reba McEntire and Carrie Underwood. Keith Urban, Jason Aldean, and Darius Rucker are vying for Country - Favorite Male Artist.
AMA nominations are based on music sales and radio airplay, while winners are picked by the public. Fans can cast their vote online at ama.abc.com, amavote.com, or mycokerewards.com. The 2009 American Music Awards will be presented at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live and air on ABC on November 22nd.
