Taylor Swift Teams With Taylor Guitars For Signature Model Guitar
Taylor Swift has her own guitar. The singer-songwriter has teamed up with Taylor Guitars to create the Taylor Swift Baby Taylor acoustic. The instrument is based on the company's three-quarter-size Dreadnought style. Its sleek, compact design makes the Taylor Swift Baby Taylor ideal for younger guitarists and anyone who prefers something smaller. Swift says, quote, "For a beginner, finding the right guitar can be intimidating, but this guitar, it's the perfect size. Even if you've been playing for years, it's a great size to travel with." She adds that the Baby Taylor was her guitar of choice when she was starting out. Swift notes, quote, "I used to sit in the back seat of the rental car while I was on my radio tour at 16, writing songs on my Baby Taylor guitar."
The back and sides of the Taylor Swift Baby Taylor are made of sapele laminate while the neck is crafted from tropical American mahogany. The ebony fretboard has inlayed pearloid dots. The Sitka spruce top features Swift's own rosette vine design encircling the soundhole, which includes the word "Love" in three places, and her screen-printed signature and "Fearless" are above the ebony bridge. The suggested retail price for the Taylor Swift Baby Taylor guitar is 398-dollars.
