He lets fans name his "Hits" Project

April 3, 2008 - Give the people what they want. Dierks Bentley took that marketing mantra to extremes with his next album, a hits project in which he sought the advice of his fans as he determined the package and the contents. Due May 6, the album will be titled Greatest Hits//Every Mile A Memory 2003-2008. The CD will feature his 10 Top 10 singles, plus two new songs, four live recordings and artwork (top photo on the right) that was voted on by fans through his website. The first 3,000 people who took part will also be listed on the album's liner notes as executive producers. "I think we are kind of the first ones to do it," he told The Binghamton Press & Sun Bulletin. "I know if I were a fan of a band, to have my name in the liner notes would be really cool. I know people are psyched because the 3,000 slots went pretty quickly."

In addition to picking the album's name, the fans chose concert versions of "So So Long," "Lot Of Leavin' Left To Do," "Wish It Would Break" and "Free & Easy (Down The Road I Go)" as the bonus live selections.

In addition, the CD will introduce two new tracks: "With The Band" and "Sweet & Wild," the latter a collaboration with "Stupid Boy" songwriter Sarah Buxton.

Somewhere in between
I met Dierks when he had curls and loved them, but now that he's growing up physically and musically, I have to say that I like his hair somewhere between hair cuts.

I like Dierks' hair a little on the shorter side. I've seen and met him several times and he's the greatest! So down to earth and a great performer live. It's awesome that he involved his fans like this on his greatest hits album! No other artist has ever done that. Leave it to Dierks to put his fans first!!

I have been a fan of Dierks since the first time I heard him sing. He is also gorgeous to look at-too bad he's too young for me and already taken. Hope he's around for many more years to come singing great music.

Dierks
I love the short hair.
I have to say I met Dierks and he is one of the nicest guys in this business. Very personable to his fans and the fact that he did an hour chat with his fans the other night and let us be a part of this project is so refreshing these days.

He is hugely successful and he doesn't forget the fans that got him there. How awesome is that. He is the total package.

Can't wait for the CD..go get it..and if you get a chance to see him live, you will never forget it.
