
Nashville - (April 29, 2008) Coty Beauty Inc. has announced the launch of Tim McGraw's first fragrance, "McGraw by Tim McGraw," debuting in stores August 2008. McGraw worked closely with Coty to develop the scent and recently shot the advertising campaign in Los Angeles with world-renowned photographer Michel Comte. The packaging, from the bottle to the carton, was inspired by McGraw's modern appeal with its uniquely shaped rectangular glass bottle. The sleek silver cap to the black leather like collar, which resembles the brim of his signature cowboy hat, the McGraw bottle is masculine and sophisticated. The carton's matte black texture, coupled with the custom-designed silver embossed pick at the top of the carton and rope running along each panel, communicate a fashion-forward, sexy fragrance. The woody, spicy scent, produced by Symrise, has top notes of bergamot and nutmeg; a heart of lavender and moss, and a dry down of amber, patchouli, sandalwood and -- what else -- aged whisky.
The McGraw by Tim McGraw line comprises eaux de toilette in three sizes: 0.5 oz. for $17, 1 oz. for $23 and 1.7 oz. for $30. The fragrance will launch in August in about 20,000 North American chain drugstores, Wal-Mart and midtier department stores,
