Corona beer's new television ad "Bootprints" features Kenny Chesney in his natural habitat, the beach. When the ad first begins Chesney is playing "Old Blue Chair" on his guitar but is not seen. The camera pans the beach and picks up a pair of bootprints in the sand, and follows them to where the person has taken the boots off and continues barefoot. The next scene is the shadow of a man in a cowboy hat with a Corona Extra sitting next to him on a stump. The final scene shows Kenny singing "Old Blue Chair" with the ocean behind him. The commercial will make its debut on Sunday during the Academy of Country Music Awards show on CBS. "Bootprints" will run on major networks, including FX, ESPN and Great American Country, and during late night talk shows including "Jimmy Kimmel Live," "The Late Show with David Letterman," and "Late Night with Conan O'Brien." Corona is the official sponsor of Chesney's 2008 "Poets and Pirates" tour, which runs through September.
