Don't Miss George Strait's Special Tonight!
George Strait's Academy of Country Music Artist of the Decade ceremony is coming to TV tonight.
The event, which was taped in Las Vegas last month, features a host of stars offering a musical salute to the man known as The King of Country Music, as they honor his talents and demonstrate his influence. Alan Jackson, Brooks & Dunn, Montgomery Gentry, Keith Urban, and Toby Keith are among those who took part in the celebration. Other performances include Sugarland covering "Adalida," Lee Ann Womack and Jamey Johnson making a duet of "Give It Away," and Taylor Swift singing "Run." Meanwhile, Jack Ingram says he and his band, quote, "roadhouse wreck" Strait's "All My Exes Live In Texas," while Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert team up on "It Ain't Cool To Be Crazy About You." LeAnn Rimes, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, and Big & Rich's John Rich are also featured. The two-hour "George Strait - ACM Artist of the Decade All Star Concert" will air on CBS tonight at 8:00 p.m. Eastern. Strait is only the fifth star to be named the ACM Artist of the Decade, following Marty Robbins, Loretta Lynn, Alabama, and Garth Brooks. But he's the first to receive his award with a separate ceremony. advertisement
