FT. CAMPBELL - Several big name country stars performed at the Ft. Campbell Army Base Friday night to welcome home troops. The "Salute to the Troops" concert started around 6 p.m. and featured the talent of John Rich, Hank Williams, Jr., Jake Owen and headliner Carrie Underwood. The event kicks off "Week of the Eagles" at Ft. Campbell, which is a biannual tribute to the Screaming Eagles of the 101st Airborne Division who returned from their service in the Middle East. About 75,000 people showed up to enjoy the concert, which was free and open to the public. It was presented by Ft. Campbell's Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation, or MWR.
