First I want to commend Doc and Grace and the radio station for being one of the only ones this morning discussing this tragedy and taking calls. This was a tragedy, and as I clicked through the stations I did not hear much speak but it was Doc and Grace who reached out to the listeners. To hear and see the tragedy unfold in Ft. Hood yesterday,where American soldiers are suppose to be safe, this is the very soil they protect, I have no words...I do a lot of volunteer work with the soldiers,and have a few adopted soldiers myself. My brother was army, having served in Iraq for 19 months straight, my father was army, my grandfather was airforce, I have a bond with the military and hold every soldier of every branch in the outmost repsect and to know that this happened on American soil by a fellow soldier disgusts me...it further upsets me to not hear mention of this tragedy much anywhere, all flags around America shold be at half staff today not just on our military bases....we need to support our soldiers and do so much more for them, this is one example where they need us, the American people they work hard to protect. Thank you Doc and Grace for making it real and acknowledging it. The gentleman that spoke on behlaf of Wounded Warrior, it is an amazing thing they do, I have been to a few events and to see what these wounded soldiers can accomplish due in part to the volunteers is amazing...the heart of a volunteer is strong and those soldiers need us...
