One of the truly good guys in country music, Jimmy Wayne has spent over five years looking for his niche. After a lukewarm response to his first release, it would’ve surprised no one to see him quietly go away. Luckily for all of us, this guy is a survivor. With the release of “Do You Believe Me Now”, Jimmy Wayne has arrived. The title cut shows off the artist’s biggest song to date with its slick but well conceived production. It’s a new twist on the one that got away. You’ll enjoy “I’ll Be That” with it’s positive outlook on love and life. “Brighter Days” follows with perhaps an even more inspiring message. Always able to tell a story with his music, Jimmy shows that forte amidst the pulsating beat of “Kerosene Kid”. You’ll also like the collaboration with Patty Loveless on “No Good For Me”. Sharing vocals with one of country’s finest vocalists, Jimmy holds his own on the album’s strongest cut. “I Didn’t Come Here To Lose” could very well be an autobiographical look on Jimmy’s career. The bonus tracks of Jimmy’s past hits “Stay Gone” and “I Love You This Much” makes the cd a must buy.

For a guy who’s had trouble standing out in the past, Jimmy Wayne has found his place in the spotlight. I’m a believer.
