The Outlaws Concert Special
Tonight @9pm - CMT's highly anticipated CMT Outlaws concert special features performances by some of music's most untamed and unpredictable artists. CMT brings together a once-in-a-lifetime lineup of stars including Hank William Jr. , Kid Rock, Gretchen Wilson, Montgomery Gentry, Big & Rich, Tanya Tucker, Jessi Colter, Shooter Jennings, Metallica's James Hetfield and Lynyrd Skynyrd's Gary Rossington, Billy Powell and Johnny Van Zant. Williams, who performs on CMT Outlaws is the epitome of the country music outlaw. He tells CMT that when it comes to his music, it's his way or no way at all. He describes the resistance he faced early in his career when he started doing his own music rather than that of his legendary father. "The fantasy was over when I was about 20. Hank Williams Jr. didn't want to be Hank Williams Jr. anymore. He's going to be Bocephus. He goes out and does his thing on the show and then these promoters say it's terrible. 'Look at all those people you ran out of here. You can't jump on the piano and do that.' And I said, well that's what I'm going to do. I'm going to stay home or I'm going to go out there and do my own thing."

Toby Keith - Why Greatest Hits?
Earlier this year Toby Keith was working hard to finish a new studio album for release this fall, but then opted for a new Greatest hits package. He says the decision was based on his contract. "It's a matter of the contract. It called for 6 studio albums, I've already turned in four of them. There were a couple of greatest hits albums thrown in there. So, it didn't make sense to release the fifth album and have two hits packages left, so it was just time." Greatest Hits 2 in stores Nov. 9th. Want to hear Toby's duet with his daughter?

Big & Rich First Ever
Big & Rich has another success to celebrate this year. Their digital single for "Save A Horse (Ride A Cowboy)" has been certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America for sales of 100,000 downloads, making it the first digital download by a country artist to be certified by the RIAA.

Blake Shelton's Wife is Strong Woman
If you ever wondered how the pioneer wife of the last century or so brought home dinner, Blake Shelton's wife Kaynette, provides a hint, she didn't use a grocery cart. Blake recently shot a deer on his property, but had to leave the carcass where it was because he had to go to a business appointment. He told his wife he'd get the deer in the morning. Kaynette decided it shouldn't wait that long, and while Blake was gone, she went out and found the deer and dragged it back to their yard. Blake is coming to town!

Honky Tonk Boys Hangout With The View
Country artists Rhett Akins, Chad Brock, David Kersh, and Daryle Singletary, currently on tour as the Honky Tonk Tailgate Party, invited special guests Joy Behar, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, Star Jones, and Meredith Vieira of the daytime ABC show The View to join them at Billy Bob's Texas in Ft. Worth, Texas this past weekend, that aired Monday morning. Meredith made a guest appearance on the stage with the hit-makers, to enjoy the true Honky Tonk experience performing for a screaming country crowd. Just an hour before Meredith was invited to the stage, Rhett Akins wrote a song specifically for her. She obliged his request to join the artists on stage to sing during the finale of the concert. "The song described The View coming to Billy Bob's. Meredith did a great job, and she definitely looked the part of a cowgirl. However, I don't think we're looking for a female addition to the Tailgate Party tour," Rhett laughed. "That being said, I would invite her to join us on stage anytime she wants! We had a blast!"
