ALAN JACKSON DONATES CAR TO BENEFIT NASHVILLE AREA SCHOOLNashville, TN -- Country star Alan Jackson has donated his 2005 Ford GT featured in the music video for "The Talkin' Song Repair Blues" to Franklin Road Academy in Nashville for a nationwide raffle.
Raffle tickets are $20 each and may be purchased by logging onto www.FordGTraffle.org. The drawing for Jackson's Ford GT will be on Friday, September 1 with proceeds benefiting "The Campaign for Franklin Road Academy: Investing in Tomorrow's Leaders." "The Talkin' Song Repair Blues" was the third hit single from Jackson's Platinum album, What I Do, released in 2004. What I Do garnered the #1 spot on Billboard's Top Country Albums and Billboard 200 charts and became Jackson's third disc to debut at #1, joining his triple-Platinum Greatest Hits Volume II (from 2003), and 2002's four-million-selling Drive, both of which topped the pop and country charts in their first week. Released February 28, Jackson's current album, Precious Memories, is the only gospel recording to debut at #1 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart.
