Bumping Into Country Superstars At CMT Music Fest!
Kix Brooks pulled off the surprise of the CMA Music Festival, making an unannounced stop by the Brooks & Dunn booth at the Convention Center exhibit hall and signing autographs for 3½ hours. "Oh my gosh," said Sharon Hornsby of Sumter, S.C., just after meeting Brooks. "All of a sudden, I saw all these people running over to the booth. I got in line and was in the right place at the right time. This is the only place you can meet people like that." Brooks conversed with everyone in the line. "I don't mind staying here for hours," he said. "I come in here and you take your time. I still like it a lot." Brooks & Dunn didn't perform this weekend after 13 straight years of appearances at the annual music festival, because duo partner Ronnie Dunn is on a vacation in Europe with his wife.
