Carrie Underwood Passes the American Idol Crown with Style

Carrie Underwood opened the show singing the first few lines of "I Made it Through the Rain," then being joined by finalists Taylor Hicks and Katharine McPhee. It illustrated the passing of the torch nicely. She looked lovely in white. She returned later and performed "Don't Forget the Remember Me," the latest single from her multi-platinum album "Some Hearts."
