Kenny Chesney, who turned 39 on Monday (326), decided to celebrate his birthday jamming with his band at Music Row's Tin Roof, with a "Keg In The Closet" show last night. "Just playing here in my hometown, letting it all hang out and seeing who shows up, well, that's my kind of birthday," Kenny says.
It turned out to be quite the party.
Country Music Across America's Storme Warren tells me that he personally saw Gretchen Wilson, Montgomery Gentry and Tracy Lawrence singing with Kenny at the show.
Those hanging out in the 'Green Room' aka - an empty Ryder rental truck parked just outside the Tin Roof: Tim McGraw & Faith Hill (with Kix Brooks and Tracy Lawrence at times)
Those seen mingling about: Kix Brooks, John Rich Big Kenny and Catherine Britt, along with songwriters, Craig Wiseman, Brett James, Chris Lindsey, Aimee Mayo and Vicky McGeehee
Kenny's birthday cake featured a design that included two guitar stocks and a straw beach hat. The whole crowd sang 'Happy Birthday' when the cake was presented.
The best quote of the night comes from Tin Roof owner Jason Sheer: "Where else are you going to see Tim and Faith watching a Kenny show from a truck bed?" from Country Nation
