Chesney Attends White House Dinner Kenny Chesney sang a few songs at a White House dinner on Tuesday night (May 16) in honor of Australian Prime Minister John Howard. Chesney told the guests he brought his mother, Karen Chandler, as a Mother's Day gift. He also wore a new pair of boots given to him by President Bush. According to The Washington Post, guests rushed the stage after Chesney's performance for autographs and pictures. Other attendees included first lady Laura Bush, Sen. Lamar Alexander, R-Tenn., and Rep. John S. Tanner, D-Tenn., and Chesney's managers, Clint Higham and Dale Morris.
