Gretchen Wilson began an eight-day media tour Tuesday during which she'll hit New York City, Las Vegas and Los Angeles for a host of television appearances promoting her third album One of the Boys, set for release May 15. Gretchen and her band return to the morning show that helped kick off her career when she performs on the "Today Show" Friday morning, May 11. Then "Access Hollywood" will catch up with her for a feature that will air over the weekend. She'll tape an appearance on "Live with Regis & Kelly" to air Monday, May 21, and will pay a visit to Sirius Satellite Radio to record an interview and live versions of several songs from the new CD. Friday afternoon, she'll jet to Las Vegas to rehearse her part in the "VH-1 Rock Honors," to air on May 24. On Sunday, May 13, Gretchen will take over the famed Fremont Street Experience with a free concert to promote the new album. The concert begins at 10 p.m. and will feature several special guests. After visiting with radio stations on Monday, she'll attend Tuesday's ACM Awards, where she is nominated for both her duet with Merle Haggard on "Politically Incorrect" and the Hank Williams, Jr. single "That's How They Do It in Dixie" in the Vocal Event of the Year category. After the ACMs, she'll pay a visit to Blair Garner's "After Midnite" and then bus to Los Angeles for a May 16 appearance to sing "One of the Boys" on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno." Also watch for upcoming features and reviews in People magazine, Entertainment Weekly, USA Today and other newspapers, as well as an appearance on GAC.
Busy? Yes, but never too busy for her daughter, Gracie. Gretchen says "Everything I do is for Gracie...to make a better life for her."
