The Opry donated $230,000 to the Red Cross from ticket sales, employee contributions and corporate contributions. GAC owner Scripps Network kicked in $1 million. And Cracker Barrel announced plans to give hurricane victims $1 million in debit cards for food at its restaurants. The event was aired live on GAC, Sirius satellite radio, a few other Scripps-owned networks and in a rare coalition of three Nashville country radio stations that usually compete.
