Country Stars Have the Biggest Hearts
Toby Keith is sometimes considered "Mr. Tough Guy" but there is a heart of gold in that tough exterior. This past Saturday, July 9, 2005, Toby played a concert at Blossom Music Center in Cleveland. Make A Wish Foundation contacted him to let him know that a little boy named Trevor's wish was to sing a song with Toby Keith. Toby was more than happy to grant that wish! Trevor suffers from a rare disease and just yesterday went through a liver transplant. Fans at the concert report that it was an incredible moment when Toby introduced Trevor. He came out and sang like he had been doing it for years. They sang American Soldier. Toby talked to the boy for a minute to see how the boy wanted to do it and then knelt beside him. Sometimes they sang together and sometimes Toby would back off and let the little boy sing alone. Toby appeared choked up a couple of times. Trevor also got to go back stage to meet Toby Keith beforehand. C
