Trace Adkins has been heating up country music these days with his hot videos, hit singles and sold-out shows all over the country. And then there's his new single, "Swing," which is nearing Top 20 this week. It's the first release from Trace's upcoming Dangerous Man album, slated for a August release. Trace says that so far, 2006 has been a "swinging" good year for him.

"We've hit some rough spots, some slow spots and had some lulls in the action there," he says, "but the last couple of years it's been going straight up. We started out this year testing the waters with headlining and doing our own thing. So far, we're thinking that maybe we could've booked bigger venues, cause it's going great."

On Thursday June 29th, Yahoo! Music will host the video premiere of the new single, "Swing," from Trace Adkins. As a perennial baseball fan, Adkins' new song reflects his love of the sport through his lyrics, and even filmed the video at a stadium in Lancaster, CA. Recently voted one of "Country's Sexiest Men" in Country Weekly, Adkin's "Swing" will be featured on his upcoming album, Dangerous Man. Fans can catch him on his U.S. tour now through December.
