Tim McGraw accompanied wife Faith Hill as she ran all over New York City last week. She appearred on Ellen (who normally tapes in LA but was in NYC), attendd a big press conference for the NFL Kickoff and probably got a little shopping in!

John Mellencamp and Faith Hill brought star power to a gathering last week of five musical acts set to celebrate Thursday's NFL season-opening game between the Super Bowl champion Colts and the visiting New Orleans Saints. During a midday news conference at the Indianapolis Artsgarden, Hoosier rock star Mellencamp reminisced about February's Super Bowl and country music star Hill praised the Saints for raising post-hurricane spirits in New Orleans.

Original "American Idol" Kelly Clarkson and rock band Hinder also will perform on the Circle, while R&B vocalist Keyshia Cole will sing "The Star-Spangled Banner" before kickoff at the dome.

Hill roots for the Tennessee Titans in her adopted hometown of Nashville, Tenn., and the wife of fellow country star Tim McGraw cheered for the Saints while growing up in Mississippi. A New Orleans-based television journalist asked Hill about the Saints and their fans in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. "When they came back last year to open up the Superdome and play that first game, it was unbelievable," Hill said. "I don't know how many of you have been down to New Orleans to see the devastation. ..... It's pretty mind-blowing. It takes a lot of spirit to bring yourself up from the ground and rise above."
